Speaking to InsideNE, Dutta said, “If India does not give importance to us, we have made an appealed to all and discussed with my boys to completely seal the Srirampur gate so that no resources are allowed pass the borders of Assam. We have no other option than applying economic blockade in the state. If the people of Assam can make this economic blockade a successful one, only then the people will be able to stand raising their head.”

He added, “I am happy that the people are seeking for a sovereign Assam at this point as we were also on that earlier. But by making such demand in troops will not be helpful; I appeal one lakh people to come and protest in the Judge’s field demanding sovereignty. Lakhs of people can visit the Bogibeel Bridge than why can’t they raise voice for independence. There are very few youth who have joined the United Liberation Front of Asom- Independent (ULFA-I) but we cannot let them die when mass of the population are not coming together.”

Stating that the protest that is going on in the state are stage in groups of 30 organization and 70 organization, he appealed all to join hand and come in hundreds so that it leaves a larger impact on the government’s decision. He quoted, “If these organizations assure to unite, I will take along with me thousands of youths.”

He further asked, “Why can’t the people be united? If the youths of Cotton College can protest than why can’t the professors stand to protect their identity? Why can’t all the intellectuals come together rather than having groups?
