Two elephants allegedly poisoned to death in Baksa

Baksa, November 16, 2018:
Reports of elephant deaths continue in the state with two deaths coming to light in Assam's Baksa.
It has been suspected that the elephants which usually come out from the forest land in search of food were poisoned by some miscreants. It has been alleged that farmers in the area have poisoned the elephants as herds usually destroy cropland i the area.
The forest official have started an investigation on the whole issue.
It may be mentioned that earlier another elephant was recovered dead from Dimow. The elephant in Dimow died of electrocution.
