The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway will be introducing a special intercity train service between Dekargaon and Dibrugarh on an experimental basis for six months.
The train service will start on August 19 for five days a week.
The entire stretch from Dekargaon to Dibrugarh will have stoppages at 13 stations: starting from Dekargaon, Rangapara North, Balipara, Biswanath Chariali, Helem, Gohpur, Tatibahar, Harmuti, North Lakhimpur, Gogamukh, Dhemaji, New Sisirbargaon, Tangani, and Dhamalgaon.
The Northeast Frontier Railway is one of the 18 railway zones in India. Headquartered in Maligaon, Guwahati in the state of Assam, it is responsible for rail operations in the entire Northeast and parts of West Bengal and Bihar.
