BAKSA: Amid apprehensions over 'infiltration' of illegal foreigners into Assam, police personnel in Baksa district yesterday busted a fake 'Aadhaar' card module that was being operated out of a local called Mominul Haque. Somewhat shockingly, they discovered that a youth was using two laptops to churn out fake Aadhaar cards in the remote Sapatal village under Baksa, which falls under the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
Based on secret intelligence from reliable sources, the Tamulpur Police launched an operation and were able to apprehend crooks who were doling out fake Aadhaar cards.
A team of police, headed by Officer Manoranjan Medhi, yesterday apprehended the mastermind Samad Ali. Additionally, they were able to seize two laptops, a Scanner and a Xerox machine, a Finger Print machine, and incriminating documents from the accused.
