23-year-old Saddam Hussain, a notorious counterfieter, has been nabbed in connection to his role in printing Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) in Assam’s Bongaigaon district.

Local police have recovered a a scooty (bearing Registration No. AS-19 H /7880), fake notes worth Rs. 2,17,900, a stamp of Borigaon, Voters' ID, an ADHAAR card, a PAN card and a mobile phone, from Hussein.

After Hussain's arrest, further searches in different areas of Bongaigaon District has been conducted. A printing machine and a bundle of ₹ 100 notes have been recovered from the house of one Abdul Awal of Simlabari Part-I under Meresar Police Station in Bongaigaon District. Awal is absconding.
