Fake Currency Note Racket Busted in Assam

Hojai, June 4, 2019:

A fake currency note racket has been busted in West Karbi Anglong district and in Dabaka of Hojai district of Assam by a team of Army and Kherani police on Tuesday.

The police apprehended four racketeers in connection to the case from Dabaka and Kherani.

The accused has been identified as Gyan Bahadur Lama, Jayanta Singh, Faizul Islam, and Nikhil Terang.

The team recovered Rs 2000 and Rs 500 fake currency note worth Rs 2.23 lakh, 7.65 mm pistol, and 3 round live cartridges from them.

Further investigation is on.
