An First Information Report (FIR) was filed against Assam Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Pijush Hazarika for violating COVID-19 protocol. The FIR was filed by one Tarun Dutta at the Panbazaar police station on Saturday.

Dutta accused the minister of addressing a huge election meeting defying COVID-19 protocol. Dutta also accused Hazarika of not wearing a face mask and not maintain social distance.

The common people are fined for not wearing face mask, will the police take action against the minister now, asked Dutta.

It may be mentioned that Pijush Hazarika addressed a election meeting in Baksa district on Friday. Hazarika was seen without wearing a face mask. The huge crowd also did not maintain social distance.
