Flood cuts off Manas National Park in Barpeta

Barpeta (Assam), September 16, 2018:
The Beki river has washed away more than one and half kilometres of the road connecting Barpeta town with Manas National Park at Chapakamar.
Currently, Manas is disconnected with rest of the neighbouring areas.
Apart from Barpeta, other regions of state like Lakhimpur, Biswanath, Majuli and Dibrugarh are also severely affected by flash floods caused by the monsoon rains.
