Forest Beat Officer arrested in Rangia

Guwahati (Assam), September 11, 2018:

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested Rangia’s Forest Beat Officer while accepting a bribe from a truck driver inside the campus of the Divisional Forest Office in Rangia on Monday.

The forest officer identified as Dhiraj Das was caught red-hand while he was accepting bribe of Rs 9000 from the driver.

As per reports, he will be produced before the special court on Wednesday.
