GUWAHATI: While news of postponing exams in both state and central universities are coming up, Gauhati University has decided to hold the post-graduation first semester examinations at the previously scheduled time.
Candidates who are unable to appear in the examinations, however, are asked to notify the controller of examinations, Gauhati University, through the concerned Principal/HoD for further action, according to a notification.

The notification also stated that if students are unable to appear in the examinations at a convenient time, a second phase of the examination may be held.
It is pertinent to mention that, Assam’s Dibrugarh University has already postponed the postgraduate examinations scheduled for April 19 and 20 due to the increase in COVID-19 cases.

Similarly, the administration of the Tezpur University (TU) campus has asked all PG/UG students, with the exception of final year and Ph. D. students, to leave the campus on or before April 23.
