LUCKNOW: Assam fitness sportswoman Guriya Khatun won the bronze award in the Federation Cup National Women Sports Model Physique event which was held today at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

She competed in the above-162cm category.

This was the 10th Federation Cup National Body Building Championships, hosted by the Uttar Pradesh Body Building Association.

This is the first medal for Assam in any women’s national bodybuilding and fitness event.

Fitness guru Chetan Pathare, Arjuna awardee Premchand Dogra, Hiral Shah (first woman secretary, Indian Women's Bodybuilding Federation) and Arvind Madho (president, Body Building Federation of India) were presented in the event.

Jayveer Raj Singh Gohil (Yuvraj, Bhavnagar), Gaurav Taneja (YouTuber), Yatindra Singh (pro body builder), Anandeshwar Pandey (general secretary, Indian Olympic Association), RP Singh (director, sports department) and Ajay Kumar Dwivedi (municipal commissioner, Lucknow Municipal Corporation) were also presented.
