Guwahati Blast Pro talk ULFA-I leader and Assamese actress arrested

Guwahati, May, 16 2019:

The Guwahati police on Thursday arrested pro-talk ULFA leader Pranamoy Rajguru and Assamese actress Jahnabi Saikia in the Guwahati blast that rocked the city on Wednesday evening.

Pro-talk ULFA leader Pranamoy Rajguru stated that, “Our fight will continue till our demands are fulfilled. The government should know that these activities will continue. May our struggle live long”

The duo has been arrested after hours of interrogation.

The investigating team today launched a massive search operation and recovered one 9MM pistol, 35 rounds of live bullets, 70 kg of explosive materials which was used to make IEDs, ULFA-I flag, and a scooty suspected was used during the blast and some objectionable documents from the possession of Jahnabi Saikia.

As per the latest information, Saikia was residing at a rented house in Panjabari area for the last 10 days.Moreover, Police have confirmed that Jahnabi Saikia was in close links with the pro-talk ULFA leader Pranamoy Rajguru who used to often visit her house.

It is to be mentioned that chaos filled with fear psychosis gripped Guwahati after a massive blast exploded in Guwahati’s zoo road in front of a mall at around 7.45 pm on May 15th, 2019 leaving at least 12 injured.

The city police have issued a high alert in the entire region hours after the blast.
