On the night of 14th and 15th September, troops of Border Security Force (BSF) under Guwahati Frontier apprehended 03 Indian cattle smugglers and rescued 107 cattle heads from the bordering areas of District Coochbehar (West Bengal) , Dhubri & South Salamat (Assam)
The troops of BSF BOP NDA of 41 Bn BSF under Guwahati Frontier carried out a special operation in general area of village Nepuralga, PS- Sukhchar, Distt- South Salamara (Assam) and apprehended 3 Indian cattle smugglers along with cattle heads, while these were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.

The Apprehended cattle smugglers have been identified as (a) Rafiqul Islam(21yrs), S/o Ahitula Shekh, (b) Amildul Sheikh (32 Yrs), S/o- Sajjan Sheikh and (c) Shafikul Islam (22 Yrs),S/o- Baktur Islam, all are resident of Vill- Berabanga, PO/PS-Sukhchar, Distt-South Salamara (Assam).
Apprehended cattle smugglers along with cattle heads have been handed over to Police Station Sukhchar, Distt- South Salamara (Assam) for further legal action.
Besides above, vigilant Seema Prahari of BSF have also rescued 107 Nos cattle heads in various other operations from bordering areas of Distt Coochbehar (WB), Dhubri & South Salamara (Assam) while the same were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
