After a month-long observation of the Ramzan, Muslim community will celebrate the Eid-Ul-Fitr on Wednesday all over India. Guwahati is no exception.
People belonging to Muslim community are gearing up to celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr in Guwahati.
As of now, several Mosques in Guwahati have announced the following timings for “Namaaz”, the special prayer.
Sijubari Shanka Masjid: 6 am
Dakhshingaon Burha Masjid: 8:30 am
Dakhshingaon Shahi Jama Masjid: 8:30 am
Gadigaon Idgah Maidan: 8:30 am
Gadigaon Darul Ulum Madrassa: 7 am and 9 am
The Muslim people are all set to welcome the festival with great fervour. The markets are full of delicacies and the shops are brimming with new clothes and other attractive commodities.
The date of Eid ul-Fitr typically varies from country to country, depending on whether the moon has been spotted. The lunar cycle is used to calculate the Islamic Hijri era and this year’s Ramadan was observed at a different time across India, as the moon was not visible in some parts of India.
