Guwahati shops to remain closed on Aug 17

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 16, 2018:

The Kamrup Chamber of Commerce (KCC) has announced that all shops and business establishments in Guwahati will remain closed on Friday as a mark of respect to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The Assam government has already declared a holiday of all government offices and educational institutions on Friday as a mark of respect to Vajpayee who breathed his last on Thursday evening.
