NAGRIJULI: With elections approaching fast, former Bodoland People's Front (BPF) Working President Biswajit Daimary yesterday lashed out at former Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary over his alleged misrule in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).
"This election will decide our fate. We have to select the right candidates and the right parties. Only if this happens will we able to envision a good future for the BTC region and get good schemes. This election is an election for the people of the BTC," Daimary said at an election rally in Nagrijuli, Baksa.
Daimary said that his former party BPF did not value the hopes and aspirations of the people, which is why it must be defeated and the BJP should take charge. "The Hagrama Government has no concern for the public and their demands and aspirations. The fact that the BJP wants to form a Government here is a golden opportunity for us," Daimary said.

The former Rajya Sabha MP also claimed that the people in the BTC region are yet to get any benefits and all the communities in the region are suffering. "Now, we want a new Government and what we need will be informed by the BJP leaders," Daimary said in Baksa.
The elections in the BTC will be held in two phases on December 7 and 10.
