HARDCORE ULFA(I) CADRE ARRESTED IN SONARI

An United Liberation Front of Asom (I) cadre has been arrested in a joint operation carried out by the Assam Police and Army in Sonari in Charaideo district of Assam. The cadre has been identified as Deepjyoti Gogoi, who is a resident of Borhat. The police recovered a .22 pistol and four rounds of fire from the cadre, along with some incriminating documents. Gogoi is suspected to have been involved in the Borhat Tea Estate firing on February 5 last.
