Heavy Rainfall likely to occur in some parts of Assam

Guwahati, September 13, 2019:

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that several districts in Assam will face heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coming week.

As per the IMD, on September 13, Kokrajhar is likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall while Dhubri, South Salmara-Mankachar, Goalpara, Bongaigaon, Chirang and Baksa are likely to experience rainfall.

However, Barpeta, Kamrup-Rural, Nalbari and Kamrup-Metro might not have any sort of rainfall.

The IMD further predicted that there might not be any sort of rainfall on September 14.

On September 15, Dhubri, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, Chirang and Barpeta are likely to experience heavy rainfall and on September 16 Dhubri, South Salmara-Mankachar, Goalpara, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Barpeta, Nalbari and Baksa might experience rainfall.

It may be mentioned that the on September 11, Indian Meteorological Department (OMD) in its latest weather forecast predicted heavy rainfall in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh in the upcoming days.

As per the official website of the Indian Meteorological Department, the northeastern states are likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall for the next five days from September 11 to September 14.
