Guwahati, March 20, 2019:

Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with the delegation of Karbi Anglong led by Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Tuliram Ronghang submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding immediate implementation of Autonomous State under Article 244(A) of the Indian Constitution to Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao Districts.

The delegation included MLA Mansing Rongpi, Deputy Speaker of KAAC Ritesh Enghi with several executive members of KAAC.

CEM KAAC Tuliram Ronghang appealed Narendra Modi that an official meeting should be called by the Central Government in every three months to discuss on the issue for immediate implementation of Autonomous State.

After a thorough discussion, the PM assured that if BJP comes to power again the ensuing Lok Sabha Election 2019, it will extend cooperation in all possible matters to discuss on issues related to Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao Districts
