Responding to the allegations of corruption leveled on him by the BJP Minister during an interaction with media on the sidelines of a rally, Mohilary said, "Himanta Biswa Sarma himself is involved in various scams. That is why he keeps changing his parties to save his back."

Mulling on the BJP party's chances in the forthcoming polls, Mohilary said that the BJP will not win a single seat. "The BPF party is going from strength to strength in recent times, therefore the BJP will not be able to win a single seat," the former BTC Chief stated.

Dismissing the chances of the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL), Mohilary said that the Promod-led outfit shall not be able to win a single seat.

"Our's is a 6th Schedule area and no matter how hard Himanta Biswa Sarma tries, his words shall not be true. The VCDC shall not be abolished and a panchayati system will not take its place. Moreover, Himanta Biswa Sarma shall never be able to form the administration here," he said.
