How Assam's Downtown Group is Helping Needy People & Journalists amid Lockdown

Guwahati, May 4, 2020:

In the face of the coronavirus crisis that has destroyed lives as well as economies, the Downtown Group in Assam, setting an example, has come forward to help some of the more unfortunate citizens of the state.

To aid in the fight against the coronavirus, the group has also extended monetary support by donating to the Assam Chief Minister's fund.  Apart from the company, the employees of the organization have also pitched in with donations to raise money to fight the ill-effects of the virus.

Also, the organisation has been distributing essential food items and face masks, along with fresh fish, to needy people in various areas in and around Guwahati, the economic hub of the Northeast Indian region.

As a token of appreciation for their hard work, the Downtown Group has also distributed food items and face masks to the press reporters of the area, for their hard work and effort they are putting in during this time of crisis.
