The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and the High Madrassa examinations will witness 3,53,533 candidates appearing for the examinations on Friday. Among this figure 3,44,190 candidates to take the HSLC examinations and 9343 candidates to take the High Madrassa examinations. It may be mentioned that the number of female candidates is more than the male candidates. 852 centres have been allocated for the examinations out of which 83 are marked as sensitive.
For fair conduction of the examinations, CCTV’s have been installed in all the centres. The education department has also introduced a few reforms. One of such is that one can know the subject of the question papers without opening the packet of question papers. They will also be available in multiple languages.
The candidates who leave the examination hall within 2 hours from the start of the examination will not be allowed to take the question papers along with them. The reforms also include that they will be allowed to write with black ball-point pen. Guardians of the candidates will have to maintain a distance of 50 metres from the examination centre while waiting for their wards.
