Hundreds affected by floods in Hojai

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 8, 2018

Surging waters of Demow river have caused widespread devastation in Hojai with at least 10 villages being inundated.

Hundreds of bighas of farmlands are under floodwaters, while hundreds of people have been displaced as the river waters flooded many low-lying areas, affecting houses and schools. Roads in many parts of Hojai district too have been submerged.
