IIT-Guwahati’s ‘Techniche’ from Aug 30 to Sept 2

Guwahati (Asaam), 20 Aug, 2018:

The 20th edition of the annual techno-management festival of Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, “Techniche” would be held from 30 August to 2 September.

Techniche encompasses events ranging from various facets like technology, management and fun. 

This edition of Techniche would witness the likes of eminent personalities of wide spectrum of fields like Dr. Manfred Krammer, HoD of Experimental Physics, CERN and Marlon West, VFX Supervisor of Walt Disney as a part of Lecture Series, Trevor Bull, CEO and MD of Aviva India and many more eminent personalities will be delivering lectures as a part of Industrial Conclave.

Speaking to media, Labanu K. Konwar, Assistant Registrar of Public Relations IIT-G said, “Techniche being a complete student body organization, always tries to uplift the technology aspects in North East India and encourages students through its exciting events and interesting competitions. Being one of the largest technical festival in India, it gives North East an eminence on a global standard. And, it provides a platform to many of the students to prove them on a nationwide level”.

Following the long tradition of Techniche, the 10th edition of the Guwahati half marathon will be back with a greater vehemence and enthusiasm on August 26. The theme of this edition of marathon is “Run for Digital India”, which appeals to be a part of change intended by creating awareness for digital initiatives by Government of India. The event starts from the Bhogeswari Phukanani Indoor Stadium, GNRC Road, Dispur.

The convener of Techniche'18 Purvish Shah said, "A confluence of some of the most logical and technically proficient brains from around the world, an event organized by some of the most passionate about Technology IITians, Techniche is all about showing your caliber, appreciating and respecting the metal in your opponent. This September, the game of the best amongst the best is for the world to see".
