Illegal sand carrying truck detained at Assam’s Barpeta district

Guwahati, February 5, 2019:

One Truck bearing Reg. No- AS 01BC- 8969 was detained by Patacharkuchi police during checking last night around 11 pm at Patacharkuchi of Barpeta District.

Police informed that the driver of the vehicle had failed to produce any document against carrying forest property.

Later, the truck was handed over to the Forest Department for verification and to take legal action under provisions of the Forest Act.

The checking was carried out under the leadership of Birinchi Borah, SDPO, Bajali with the help of Patacharkuchi police under directives of superintendent of police of Barpeta district, Dr. Rabin Kumar.
