IMPLEMENT ALL CLAUSES OF BTR ACCORD PROPERLY; DEMANDS ABSU

The all powerful All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) on Sunday demanded that all the clauses of the third Bodo Peace Accord (BTR) signed on 27^th January be implemented properly. The influential students body reiterated that the accord should be implemented with bold initiative to pave way for a healthy development in the region.

Addressing the media in Kokrajhar, ABSU president Dipen Bodo expressed that the organization has whole heartedly welcomed the BTR accord but demands implementation of all clauses properly.

The leader said that thae BTR accord was a outcome of bold leadership of ABSU and all the four factions of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB).

“BTR accord is an accord for bringing development and welfare for all sections of the society in the region, said Bodo”.

The students union leader urged both the central and state government to make 100 percent implementation of all clauses of the BTR accord. He said that the historic accord has brought equal opportunity and distribution amongst all society of the region.

 On the other hand, the ABSU president denied the allegations on BTR saying, some organizations with vested interest are trying to create confusion among the masses.  

It needs mention that the BTR accord was signed after 12 round of peace talks with the ABSU and 32 round of talks with NDFB. BTR is regarded as one of the greatest peace accord initiated by the central government after the Mizoram peace accord in the history of political solution of the northeastern states.
