Indian Army Jawan Found Mysteriously Dead in Assam’s Tinsukia

Tinsukia, October 25, 2019:

An Indian Army Jawan was found dead at the Food and Supply camp in Assam's Tinsukia district on Thursday night.

The Jawan, identified as Narendra Kumar, was found in a mysterious state in Panitula of Tinsukia district. He was shot at from point-blank range, according to sources.

Narendra Kumar hails from Himachal Pradesh. While some has suspected it to be a suicide case, the actual reason for his death is yet to be established. Kumar's body has been sent for postmortem.

It has been informed that the Jawan was in the Army truck at the time of the incident. As per reports, he has sustained injury marks on his chin.

The Magistrate said that the reason behind the death will be known once the fingerprint and other investigations are completed. He added that the they were informed of the incident by Kumar’s fellow jawan who said that he shot himself by his service revolver.
