It is generally believed that the Islamic State (also known as ISIS) terror outfit has been severely depleted in recent times as they have lost many of their erstwhile bastions and struggle to maintain power or influence in the Middle-East.
But the serpent of ISIS once again reared its head when when the organization claimed responsibility for the Sri Lanka Easter massacre where more than a hundred people died in a series of blasts which were targeted at Churches and luxury hotels.
Today, ISIS panic again gripped the people of Assam as an audio surfaced in which a youth, Suraj Jamal, while talking to his family member, stated that he was being forcefully led to an undisclosed location by men in CRPF uniform. The youth allegedly called from Kashmir, and said that he had been said that he was accompanied by a youth from Rangia town who had identified himself as 'Papu'. In the conversation, the youth also reveals that he was not being allowed to leave.
This audio has filled the entire state with panic and there were many reports that these youths are being taken to join ISIS against their will.
Now, Guwahati Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar has dismissed these reports and said that these youths are not being abducted by ISIS, reports Pratidin Time.
Moreover, Kumar has said that the Assam Police are in touch with Jammu & Kashmir police and will rescue Jamal soon. The Commissioner further added that he was taken to the state for work purposes only. Kumar also rubbished the reports as untrue and said that they do not have any basis in reality.
It may be mentioned that Suraj Jamal went to Delhi on June 14 in search of employment.
More details are awaited.
