Guwahati, November 20, 2018:

A stone quarry manager from Jagun was allegedly abducted by suspected militants on Monday.

The abducted person has been identified as Apurba Kakati. He has been working as a manager in a stone quarry owned by a local named Bijoy Bora.

Although it is not sure who is behind the abduction, some reports claimed that the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) is involved.

It may be mentioned that in the past few months, the ULFA-I have become very active as the people of Assam are "fighting" against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
