Journalist brutally attacked in Assam’s Nalbari

In a major setback to the state security, a journalist working for the Dainik Axom as a correspondent was attacked by some unidentified miscreants leading to serious injuries in Mukalmuwa of Nalbari district of Assam on Thursday night.

The journalist, identified as Rajen Deka was returning home when he was attacked with sharp weapons. He was rushed to the nearby hospital. However, the doctors referred him to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) as his injuries were serious.

Deka’s wife informed he went to the market where he was attacked near an LP School and when he screamed the miscreants managed to flew off.

Nalbari Press Club, Nalnari Journalists’ Association has condemned the incident.
