BREAKING| JPC submits report on Citizenship Bill, 2016

Guwahati, January 7, 2019:

The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on Monday has submitted its final report in the Parliamentary session.

The report has been submitted by the JPC chairman Rajendra Agarwal.

It may be mentioned that Congress MP Bhubeneshwar Kalita, who is member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), walked out of the committee meeting on January 4 which was held to adopt a report clearing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 which seeks amendments of the Citizenship Act, 1955.
