The Student and Civil bodies of Karbi Anglong have demanded a 100 % reservation of jobs for the local Scheduled Tribe (ST) youths of the twin hills districts of Assam.
The body strongly appealed to the authority and selection committee of Assam Hills Medical College that the district, belonging to the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of India, should think and work for the betterment for the people.
The Karbi bodies also requested the aspirants from other districts of the state to leave the third and fourth-grade jobs only to the hill district students as they have many able, eligible and well-qualified candidates for the said posts.
