Karbi Anglong observed the 65th death anniversary of Lt. Khorsing Terang, the first CEM of erstwhile Mikir Hill district (present-day Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council). The death anniversary of the deceased leader was observed on Thursday at the West Karbi Anglong KAAC Branch, Secretariat office.

Tributes were paid to the departed leader to KAAC EM Rupsing Teron, along with Deputy Commissioner Syed Isfaqur Rahman, West Karbi Anglong sp Mrinal Talukdar, OSD Sona Terang, Hamren Municipal Board Chairman Biren Tisso, Vice Chairman Headsing Rongphar, along with officers, students, and various dignitaries.

Apart from a ceremonial programme, an all-religious prayer meeting was also held. The dignitaries addressed the people, and also paid their homage to Terang.
