KARIMGANJ: Karimganj's COVID-19 caseload rose up to 5,314, with 153 new positive cases of Coronavirus reported today, the highest spike till date.
Of the total 153 new cases detected today 139 have been found positive during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 14 under RT-PCR.
Meanwhile, Seven persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the second wave of the pandemic.

Karimganj currently has 684 active COVID-19 cases while 26 patients infected with the virus have so far been discharged from hospital and home isolation during the day.
1,379 swab samples were collected throughout the day.
A total of 2,40,763 samples have been tested so far.
The district has currently eight active containment zones.
