'Kavyavarsha' to hold discussion on inclusion of chapters on NE in CBSE, ICSE curriculum

GUWAHATI: 'Kavyavarsha' shall be holding an informative discussion on the demand for inclusion of the North East region in CBSE and ICSE curriculum. The talk will be broadcast live on its official Facebook profile on July 11 from 5:30 pm onwards.

For this purpose, it has associated with the major university student bodies of Northeast India, Assam University, North Eastern Hill University, Sikkim University, Dibrugarh University, Cotton University, and Rajiv Gandhi University

'Listen To North East' will be an immersive talk with renowned personalities and esteemed guests like Myithili Hazarika, Assistant Editor of 'The Print', Sachin Gogoi, Editor Lead, Asia Pacific of BBC News, and PJ Baruah, Executive Editor of Assam Tribune.

"It is an attempt to enhance and integrate North East's History and Culture in the CBSE NCERT Syllabus to replace ignorance with awareness towards the region on a much larger scale," said a release.

"To remedy the situation of suspicious foreigner instincts towards north-easterns by fellow Indians, we have to raise our voice to streamline the roots at once that is with proper assimilation through rightful knowledge. Let's raise our voice in unison to demand what we rightfully deserve for our future generations," it added.
