Man goes to immerse idol in Barak river, missing

Silchar (Assam), Aug 19, 2018:

A man was reported missing after he had gone to Barak river of Silchar in Cachar district along with others to immerse an idol of goddess Manasha.

When reports last came in, personnel of the police and State Disaster Response Force were carrying out a search operation in the river. The person reported missing was one Biswajit Kar, a resident of Ambikapatty in the town.
