‘MANDAL’ CAUGHT RED HANDED WHILE ACCEPTING BRIBE

Guwahati, October 25, 2018:

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Guwahati has arrested the ‘Mandal’ of Dispur Revenue Circle for accepting bribe from a woman.

Syed Intaruddin Ahmed was caught red handed by the sleuths of ACB while accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 from one Panchami Timung.

Ahmed had reportedly demanded a bribe of Rs 1,50,000 from Timung for granting a land sale permission.

A case has been registered by the ACB vide case number 22/2018 u/s 7(a)/13(1)(a)/7(b) of PC act (as amended in 2018).

Ahmed will be produced in a special court later today.

Ahmed is the Mandal of 1 No. Mathghariya, 2 No. Mathghariya, Birkuchi and Noonmati.
