BONGAIGAON: Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in the district, the deputy commissioner of Bongaigaon has ordered that all stores, commercial establishments, and market places in the district remain closed on Sundays.
However, pharmacies, hospitals, animal care centres, and veterinary clinics are all allowed to operate without limitations, according to the order released on Friday.
“Restaurants, Dhabas, and other eateries can remain open until 6:00 p.m. to encourage take-out and home delivery service, after which only home delivery of food will be permitted,” the order read.

Only in-house guests of the hotel or resort are permitted to dine at restaurants located inside the hotel or resort.
“It's possible that cold storage and warehouses will continue to operate. The notification went on to say that “sale counters, showrooms, and other businesses associated with these warehouses shall not operate.”
