GUWAHATI: Many top leaders of Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) including vice president- Kanak Talukdar, joint secretary Sabita Deka Mahanta, Anil Das, organising secretary of the Kamrup (M) district committee Tarun Dutta, and many other members have resigned from the party yesterday.

According to reports, the mass resignation happened amid the allegations of corruption within the party.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday evening they alleged discrepancies in the party and said, some leaders of the party are trying to manipulate the party by secretly colluding with a particular political party in exchange for enough money to run the party.
