Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Sumday addressed a gathering at Tentha Multiplex in Thoubal district of Manipur, in presence of Dy CM of Manipur Joykumar Singh, Health Minister Jayanta Kumar and Tribal Affairs Minister N. Kayissi.

Tentha Multiplex was recently build to provide space for the youth of Tentha village in particular and Thoubal district in general for engaging in sports, cultural and educational activities. Speaking on the occasion, CM Conrad K. Sangma appreciated the initiative taken by the Tentha panchayat to provide a platform for the youth. He also informed the gathering that during the Corona pandemic, the government of Meghalaya took up the challenge of the situation as an opportunities and have engaged in different development activities by initiating infrastructure development programmes to the tune of 7000 cr in the State of Meghalaya.

Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma urged the gathering to think of opportunities with neighboring nations in South East Asia and harness the economic benefit for the region. He said that Northeastern region have rich potentials and the friendship and cooperation between States will enable us to earn rich dividends from exports of our products from the region.
