Military equipment and band display on the occasion of army and republic day

Guwahati, January 18, 2018:

On the occasion of Army and Republic Day, a military equipment display was organised on Friday at Shillong to enhance the public awareness about the Indian army, its equipment and job opportunities in the elite armed forces.

With the theme of “Know Your Army”, among the equipment displayed were small arms, Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) equipment, Archery equipment, Disaster management machinery and stalls displaying the achievements and benefits of National Cadet Corps and multiple avenues available to join the Indian Army.

The event not only showcased the weapons and equipment but also included a scintillating display by the Military Band.

The event was well received by the local populace, especially children and students who turned out in large numbers.
