Assistant Commissioner of Bajali, ACS Apurba Kumar Nath, has been allegedly attacked by a group of miscreants in Pathsala on Monday.

The attack took place after the group of miscreants, traveling in a black Scorpio vehicle without registration, violated traffic rules and engaged in an argument with the Assistant Commissioner, who was on the way to his office.

Following this incident, a case has been registered at Pathsala Police Station.
The police arrested two of the miscreants, while one of the assailants managed to flee. The nabbed miscreants have been identified as Anup Das and Nayan Das.

Apurba Kumar Nath said that the miscreant came from the opposite direction and suddenly took a left turn. "They were just about to hit a couple travelling in a bike when I intervened and they just stated addressing us with unparliamentary words and attacked. So, I called the police and handed them over to the police," Nath added.
