This picture by Anup Kalita, shot near the Assam-Arunachal border in Bhalukpong, has now caught the attention of Arunachal MP and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who took to twitter to commend the animals on their astounding display of discipline.
"A perfect Social Distancing seen near Bhalukpong in Arunachal Pradesh along Assam-Arunachal boundary. If we observe carefully, animals can teach us many vital lessons that we may have missed in the haste of our normal daily lives", Rijiju wrote in his post.
Although twitterati by-and-large marvelled at the strict discipline of the monkeys, some have come forward to claim that the picture is photoshopped. "This is a badly photoshoped picture... No hint of shadows...On looking closely you can make out the monkeys photo are placed on the picture", wrote a Twitter user.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actor and former beauty queen Lara Dutta has also retweeted the picture originally posted by Rijiju.
At the time of filing of this report, the viral picture has garnered over 8,000 likes and over 1,300 retweets.
