NAGAON: The Maha Mrityunjay temple located in Assam's Nagaon district will be transformed into a major tourist attraction, said state chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The chief minister made a visit to Nagaon's Maha Mrityunjay Temple yesterday, where he interacted with the district commissioner, Superintendent of Police, and other officials from the forest department and the public works department (PWD) with a view to make the temple a significant tourist destination in the district.

"Visited Maha Mrityunjaya Temple, Nagaon & interacted with DC, SP & officials of Forest Dept & PWD with a view to transform temple as a major tourist attraction in the dist." CM Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.
With a height of 126 feet, the Maha Mrityunjay Temple in Nagaon, Assam is the world's tallest Shivalinga.
