Bodo Territorial Council’s deputy speaker Narswn Boro starts campaigning at Bhergaon for the upcoming elections with confidence that BPF will win with a majority of votes and form the government in BTC for the fourth time.
Speaking to the media, Narswn Boro said, “We are confident that BPF will secure 32 seats in the upcoming elections and form the government once again. The alliance with the BJP-AGP will also be intact and by no means will the alliance be diluted.”

He further added that he was an ABSU member once but he never had a political stand on issues but “some leaders” from the ABSU are directly becoming indulged in politics. “Yes, in the greater interest of the community, some steps are needed to be taken but becoming political or getting into politics is not one of the first steps. Even I was once an ABSU member but my stand was apolitical”, he added.
Boro added that because some of the leaders are now coming into active politics, the intellectual society of the Boros is somewhere disappointed with such leaders.

Boro further claimed that even if ABSU leaders for a new political party, present ABSU members will continue to support BPF.
Earlier BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary released a list of 15 candidates of the BPF for the BTC elections.
Speaking to the media, Mohilary said the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) is all set to contest the upcoming BTC elections and is confident that it will win again. He added that the candidates were for the elections was selected based on proper assessments.
The candidates are Hagrama Mahilary, Khampa Borgoyary, Daneswar Goyary, Rajib Kr Brahma, Mithunjay Narzary, Ansumwi Khungur, Jagdish Sarkar, Nershwn Boro, Tridip Daimary, Siyam Sundi, Bonzar Daimary, Bijitgwra Narzary, Maheswar Basumatary, Moon Moon Brahma and Lwmsrao Daimary.
The BPF has also decided to revoke Alindra Mushahary’s candidature and Moon Brahma will be given candidature in his place.
