Diphu, June 3, 2019:

At the time when the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in both centre and the state is chanting slogans of “Parivartan”, an opposite picture has come up in this regard at a remote place in Assam.

In Karbi Anglong district of Assam, people living in the Singhason Hill which is considered to be the highest peak in the district lack access to hospitals, and other emergency facilities due to non-motorable roads.

In the recent incident, two men were seen carrying a patient on their shoulder in a piece of cloth hanged in a long bamboo.

The locals alleged that the local Executive Member (EM) KAAC, Amarsing Tisso and Sum Ronghang, HAD and Mines and Minerals Minister did not pay any attention to the problems.

It is to be mentioned that many ministers before the Lok Sabha election made many promises to develop the tribal region. But their promises appeared to be empty rhetoric.
