The Domestic Workers Sector Skill Council under the aegis of National Skill Development Corporation and Ministry of Skill Development and entrepreneurship is organizing a 'Domestic Workers Skill Conclave - Chapter Northeast' on June 14 at NEDFi House, Guwahati, Assam in association with Assam's Skill Development Mission to celebrate International Domestic Workers' day.
The event will be inaugurated by Minister of Transport, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Industry, and Commerce Parliamentary Affairs Department, Act East Policy Affairs (Government of Assam), Chandramohan Patowary and Minister of State (Independent) Labour and Welfare Department Pallab Lochan Das, among other dignitaries.
The conclave will be attended by the representatives and stakeholders concerning the vast 20 million domestic workers sector, the key planner and key decision maker from the sill and labour sector from Northeast along with the central Government bodies, training bodies, NGOs, and industries pertaining to this sector.
Some of the workers will also be certified with certificates. This is the first ever skill conclave to be held in any of the Northeast Indian states.
