NRC will make Assam second Kashmir: Shiladitya

Guwahati (Assam), September 20, 2018:

BJP MLA from Hojai, Shiladitya Dev, on Friday claimed that the National Register of Citizens (NRC) would make the Assamese community a minority and turn Assam into second Kashmir.

Speaking to the media, Dev claimed the NRC would destroy the Assamese community instead of saving it and eventually, it would turn the whole community into a minority in their own state.

He alleged that NRC state coordinator Prateek Hajela was behind all this and his activities should be monitored.

On the recent arrest of some suspected Hizbul Mujahideen operatives in Assam, he said it was the madrassas that were sheltering “jihadis” in the state.
