“It is the primary objective of every Assamese individual to get rid of the misrule of the BJP in Assam. In the process, the students have a major role to play. For that we will take the true picture to the student community. We will hit the streets to protest the anti-people attitude of the BJP and its allies and against the unemployment problem in the state,” Baruah added.
He also assured that despite being a students’ organisation of a national political party (Congress), “we in NSUI Assam unit will remain regional in character and go with the sentiments of people of Assam”.
