Tinsukia, June 4, 2019:

One of the miscreants involved in the brutal killing of the Assam Police Commando, Girish Dutta in Makum of Tinsukia district has been arrested today.

The accused has been identified as Mintu Chutiya.

He was arrested by the Tinsukia police from Barekuri Borgaon.

It is to be mentioned that thirty-seven-year-old Girish Dutta was brutally murdered by a group of miscreants in Makum of Tinsukia district. Dutta was attacked with sharp weapons while he was returning from a programme, Kendriya Adhibeshan of Asom Moran Sabha and Moran Jatiya Mahila Parishad at Tingrai, Tinsukia.

The sensational incident took place near the office of the 2nd Assam Police Battalion of Makum.

According to Tinsukia locals, Dutta was attacked while he was returning back home after attending the Kendriya Adhibeshan of Asom Moran Sabha and Moran Jatiya Mahila Parishad.

As per reports, Girish resides in Guwahati with his wife and a daughter. He visited his village home after one year to see the newly built house along with his wife.
